Gålå is an ideal Norwegian skiing area that is perfect for family holidays if you are looking for a lot of snow and a lot of fun. You will find snow in Gålå throughout the season. After you arrive, you do not need to use your car again until it is time to go home. Everything you need is in the centre of Gålå. There is a ski stadium that organises different competitions and fun activities every day. Have a go at snow rafting, go on trips where you play games, or go on a guided mountain tour. There is something for everyone in Gålå. Alpine The 15 pistes are divided between the two sides of the mountain, with everything from black pistes for thrill-seekers to the large children's area Knerten. There is a dedicated piste for snowboarders that has electric lights and features a big jump, rails and many other challenges. Cross-country skiing Gålå's 230 km cross-country track is part of the Peer Gynt Ski Region, which has 630 km of tracks. These tracks vary in difficulty and length, but all go through the beautiful mountains and forests. If you are very fit, the 87 km of the Peer Gynt track is a perfect challenge. Activities without skis Gålå Högfjällshotell also allows you to enjoy the good things of life after you have taken your skis off. It has a restaurant, lounge with an open fire, library, sauna, solarium and much more. The hotel also has a wonderful heated outdoor pool. For the children Skidklubben Knerten is separate from the other areas, making it a safe base for children between the ages of 4 and 10. The area is open throughout the day, with skiing instructors there every day between 10 am and midday.
